ON THE COVER: Victoria Beckham at Madame Figaro

Even though I happily sing the praises of the absolute beauty that a genuine smile brings to the face, it doesn't mean I can't appreciate a polished pout now and again. And if we are going to speak of polished pouts, there is no better pout to admire than that of Victoria Beckham! She was recently featured on the cover of French magazine Madame Figaro where she shares that famous pout and a few of her style secrets with us.

A few snips from Victoria Beckham's interview!

On her fashion icons: “I love the style of Kate Bosworth and Clemence Poesy. I am obsessed with their girlie style. I find it very interesting.”

On what do she thinks of the French women in general: I find them very intriguing. This is definitely the most stylish woman in the world. They have a "zest" that sets them apart from the rest. They are always trendy, but without ostentation. I think with age they are just beautiful, but without the use of cosmetic surgery.

On what she’ll never be seen wearing: “You’ll never see me on the street in a tracksuit. I just love fashion too much to wear a tracksuit! The same goes for Ugg boots. I only wear them only at home.”

On whose style she would like to steal: “Without hesitation Tilda Swinton. I like the way she dresses. She knows about fashion. It always seems confident. I would like to design clothes for her.”

On if ageing scares her? Not exactly. This is something against which we can not fight. The most important thing for me is never to try to look younger than my real age. My motto is? Always comply with myself! Correspond to my age, my style, my beliefs ... and of course you still need to keep yourself in shape as long as possible.

On what she recommends to fight ageing: My diet is very balanced. Lots of vegetables and fish. If I'm tired, I drink gallons of coconut water. I'm going to take an example from Carine Roitfeld who does a lot of exercises at the barre. She has also promised to get me a pair of ballet shoes. As soon as I get them, I am starting too!

On what she is addicted to: “I’m addicted to Prada, to cardigans and bags Hermes. I love to buy vintage handbags Kelly and Birkin auctions.”

On the best place for shopping: “I am a big fan of Net-A-Porter.com. When the kids are asleep, I can travel on this site for several hours. I like the idea of quietly shopping at home for clothes and returning them if it don’t work. This is absolute freedom.”

On what she is like as a mother: Very attentive and very strict. We believe that our children must have good manners and respect for each other which is very important. We are a friendly family, we do everything together. David and I will not go away often just to stay with them. We talk about everything together.
