Look of the Day: Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden in Escada
At the pre-royal wedding dinner to honour Prince William and Catherine Middleton, hosted by Lady Elizabeth Anson on April 28, 2011, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden looked stunning in a fiery red silk Escada gown. The diamond and ruby brooch centered on one shoulder created a gentle drape that accentuated the gathering at the waist. The Swedish princess finished her look with a glittery clutch, diamond bracelet and earrings.

The Cocktail Hour: The Prince Charming
To honour the royal wedding I thought that this simple and aptly named cocktail would be just the thing!
The Prince Charming
1 oz. Prince Igor Premium vodka
4 oz. Cranberry Juice
1 oz. Pineapple Juice
pineapple spears for garnish
To a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add Prince Igor Premium vodka, cranberry and pineapple juices.
Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a pineapple spear.
Makes 1 serving.

Look of the Day: Sheika Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned
The tres chic Sheika Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned looked ravishing in a ivory maxi dress when she accompanied her husband, the Emir of the State of Qatar on a state visit to Spain this week. Although the origin of this dress is still unknown to us, we are loving this sophisticated look that she finished off with a matching turban and blazer thrown over her shoulders in the same creamy hue. The monochromatic feel was stylishly broken with the addition of a belt and clutch in a summery tan color. The Sheika, who is a regular on all the best dressed lists, happens to be invited to the royal wedding on Friday and we can't wait to see what glamorous frock she will sport that day!

With the Royal Wedding a few days away, the anticipation over what Kate Middleton will wear is coming to a fever pitch. While I am slightly curious to see the future princess' wedding dress, my eyes will be on the one item the royals are known for-their hats!

It Isn't Easter Without A Little Astaire!
I am definitely a creature of habit. And tomorrow, just like every Easter, I will be sitting down after dinner to enjoy one of my favorites, Easter Parade(1948) with Fred Astaire and Judy Garland. It just wouldn't feel like Easter if I didn't watch Mr. Astaire and his fancy footwork!

The Cocktail Hour: The Gardenia
Perfect for the Easter table, this cocktail is light and refreshing so even if the weather doesn't work with us, we can mix up our own little glass of 'spring'.
The Gardenia
2 blackberries
3 blueberries
1½ oz vodka
1½ oz white grape juice or white cranberry juice
Place berries in a cocktail glass and mash slightly with back of spoon. Pour vodka and white grape juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into glass and serve.
Makes 1 serving.
