Blogging on the go today, so hopefully we have made up for the lack of commentary with an abundance of images for you to enjoy!
The Duchess of Cambridge played to the hearts of patriotic Canadians in Ottawa and the nation with the red and white ensemble she sported today at a Canada Day celebration in the nation's capital. An ivory dress by Reiss, Albini red patent leather court pumps and an unique crescent shaped Anya Hindmarch clutch were topped off with a fabulous red fascinator adorned with maple leafs by Sylvia Fletcher, reflecting the colours of the Canadian flag. As expected the Duchess embellished her dress with a jewelled maple leaf broach on loan from Queen Elizabeth, one more nod to the country chosen as her first official destination as royal princess.
For her departure from Heathrow airport, the Duchess chose a Roland Mouret 'Manon' dress paired with a dark Smythe blazer. She finished her look with Manolo Blahnik 'Calogera' navy stilettos and a midnight blue Mulberry 'Polly Push Lock' bag. Also spied on the tarmac was her choice of Cath Kidston luggage for her first journey to North America.
Upon her arrival, she had changed into an Erdem 'Cecile' dress paired with what seems to be a favored pair of LK Bennett tan hued pumps.
Later that evening at a Youth Reception at Rideau Hall, another favorite made a chic return appearance which was last seen on the Duchess the night before her wedding. A bird printed dress by Issa was paired with black slingback espadrilles. The princess finished her look with a pair of adorable leaf drop earrings.
Today also marks the wedding of the late Grace Kelly's son, Prince Albert of Monaco and Miss Charlene Wittstock giving us plenty to admire and discuss, as most of the stylish royals will be in attendance. We promise not to disappoint and will post later today on what the Euro chic were wearing!
