Look of the Day: Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon looking picture perfect in head to toe white when she attended the Annual White House Easter Egg Roll with her two children and father, is our Look of the Week. We will admit that we just can't get enough of this fine southern lady, so we are a little partial when it comes to her fashion choices but doesn't she always look like a doll!
Ms. Witherspoon sported an ivory Jimmy Choo 'Hut' bag and similar-hued wedge peep-toes .
As always, the perfect daytime accompaniment to such a clean and fresh look-minimal simple accessories. We consider frocks like this the perfect canvas that can take on many looks, adding bolder accessories for a little drama or when you need to take it into the early evening.
I know there will be some die-hards out there that will 'tsk-tsk' on wearing white before Memorial Day (or Victoria Day in Canada), so tomorrow's post will hopefully be an answer to many who have queried these last few sunny weeks about what is considered appropriate.
I am a girl who loves rules but occasionally, I enjoy taking them apart even more!

What do you think of Reese Witherspoon's Look of the Day?

I love it - and I say it's legal! I'm in the "no white before Easter" camp. So she just clears the bar! Reese is my favorite transplanted Southern Bell. And good thing she wore wedges - i've been to the Easter Egg Roll, and you'll fall right through the turf in heels!

She has a classic look, and, although, I was raised to wear white only between Memorial Day and Labor Day, I have to say that Easter seems a more reasonable starting date--especially when it's already hot!

Such a classy, timeless look. I too can't help the urge to follow the post Memorial day rule for white. It's been in-grained in my psyche thanks to my dear mom. But Reese looks fabulous head to toe. She's so darn adorable : D

Happy Monday Lily x

I love how she has so beautifully pulled off the nude look, and that handbag is to die for. You always pick the best looks.

She always looks so fabulous! I think this look is beautiful...and if it is hot outside already then I think there is no harm in wearing white on occasion. Hope your having a great day! xoxo

P.S. I was in D.C. for Easter as well - wish I had known Reese was in town, I would have been out hoping to catch a picture with her! :) XOXO

I think she looks fabulous! I know many folks say no white before Memorial Day, but doesn't she look perfect for the egg roll? Easter can be a tough time for wardrobes - especially if it's 80 degrees, like it was here that day.

I know that she favors Carolina Herrara-do you know if the dress is one of her designs?

She is my ABSOLUTE favorite! Cute southern deb with the family name for a first name. So classic southern and definitely "our kind". ;)

I've always thought Easter to Labor Day for white. But in S.C. it gets so hot, you need to stretch out the season.

I thought the white was okay after Easter, and before Labor Day. There is no way I would have made it till Memorial Day. Love the simple elegance, and I try to remember not to over accesorize as well.
