Look of the Day: Sandra Bullock

We really try to avoid choosing the same people over and over again for the Look of the Week, regardless of our personal admiration of the individuals style but sometimes the girl can't help it and this was one of those times. Sandra Bullock just radiated chic in this charcoal grey belted suit at the 82nd annual Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon in Beverly Hills.

There is nothing we love like a stunning neckline and Sandra Bullock is pulling off this asymmetrical flap collar like no ones business! Her choice of accessories-a delicate gold chain and simple taupe platform heels finish off her 'ladies who lunch' look.

What do you think of Sandra Bullock's Look of the Day?

I think she looks absolutely divine. Do you know the designer of the suit? This is when I wish I were skilled in the art of patternmaking and sewing.

On a side note, there is something I really like about SB. She seems to avoid scandal, mostly, but I think it's her quiet charity which has earned her a place in my heart.

Cherest Lily,

Today is the day I thanked you in the manner you deserve for your wonderful cadeaux to me. Merci encore,

Now, entre nous, entre amies, I LOVE Sandra in every way -- now don't get me wrong: I really think the belt around her waist would have been sufficient. I think the straight skirt -- clean and pure --would have been much prettier, but we could say she made a "daring fashion statement." Agree about the neckline and I love her very special beauty.

xox,
Tish

Not sure I like the flips-n'-flaps that seem to hang from her beltline but she is such a beauty she could wear just about anything!!

MT-I have yet to come up with who designed this suit and I really dug around my resources but nothing yet. I agree with you, Sandra Bullock just seems like a really nice person, I rarely ever hear anything about her in a scandalous way, seems to really keep herself out of the limelight as best as she can.
Tish-you are too kind to me, thank you for the lovely words over at your blog! I too am a fan of a cleaner line but for some reason, this just seems to work for her, a little something extra without being too much.

Great apart from the bow thingy and it would be more elegant without; interesting choice of colour.

Sandra is certainly a beauty, but the dress looks too busy. Either the belt or the wrap below it needs to go.

She really carries it off well this gal!

You're right, she's wearing this with such panache. It's interesting - I would never have put her in that color but it really works. And she invoked my secret weapon, the nude shoe. Great post, Miss Lily!

For the few who inquired about outfit details that were not provided with the post (not from lack of trying friends!) the suit is a vintage inspired Vivienne Westwood.

Although I give a quick glance to what SB wears to all her glam events because everything always fits her so well, it all pales in comparison to the glow of goodness and confidence that radiates from her. Taking on her husband's ex problems and child? She is a warrior. Just read today someone found their dog, Cinny. A true Hollywood ending. She is at the top of her game! :)

Gotcha for the give-away. Thanks for the nice comment. Good luck. ;) xoxo
