I was always a summer girl, loved the sun, the hot temperatures, the beach, anything to do with the season. But as I have grown a little older, I have started to favour the fall! It all started when I was pregnant with my first child and would get uncomfortably overheated at the drop of a hat.Well six years and two children later, I have never really lost that feeling. After the first couple of weeks of summer weather and humidity, I start craving everything about autumn. The clothes, the decor, the brisk fresh days and cool nights!
It has officially been fall for almost a week now and I have gotten none of what I was waiting for. The weather has either been hot and humid or damp and rainy. I am still wearing short sleeve t-shirts and capris and the leaves on the trees in my neighbourhood are as green as ever. I am trying my hardest to get myself in the mood. I have packed away my family's summer clothes (except for a few minor items just in case the 'summer' continues to drag on). I have planted my fall mums in beautiful colors of burnt orange, golden yellow and sepia and have started looking for new soup and hearty recipes to try out. Since Mother Nature is not getting all my hints, I have started looking for inspiration elsewhere (on the internet!) and came across the gorgeous picture I just had to share with you.
Join me in sitting back and gazing at this beautiful picture of autumn in New England and just try to not get in the mood!
